About the event
Some of the most important issues in how to tackle the climate crisis pertain to climate justice, wellbeing, and risk management. The central questions here ar often highly abstract and theoretical, including:
How do our climate goals interact with the target of achieving a ‘wellbeing economy’?
What do we owe to future generations?
How should we justly distribute our resources in the fight against climate change?
How should policy makers strike the right balance between protecting our personal wellbeing and mitigating climate risks?
How can younger generations best harness the power of new technologies to mitigate future climate risks?
This event aims to showcase for the general public in an accessible and engaging way the results of an interdisciplinary collaboration between four research projects in five UK & EU universities, together with a multinational industry partner, on these pressing questions.
Our panelists will discuss these questions in an interactive manner with the audience, thus making some of the most abstract and theoretical issues in the debate over climate justice come alive.
